Protein Structure and Immunology Laboratory
At PSI Lab, we study how proteins perform their functions using structure-based approaches . Our studies utilize biophysical techniques, such as nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), X-ray crystallography, and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy. Biochemical assays such as the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) are also used in immunological studies. We also do protein modeling to analyze the potential effects of mutations and variations on protein function. PSI Lab has existing collaborations with establishments such as the UP Diliman NMR Facility, the Protein, Proteomics, and Metabolomics Facility (PPMF) of the Philippine Genome Center (PGC), and the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
